How does cryolipolysis work?
Developed by Harvard scientists, research has shown that when fat cells are frozen they crystallize and die. The cold exposure induces apoptotic cell death of subcutaneous fat cells. In other words, it causes the cells to die much the same as they would from natural old-age. The difference is that when cells die of old-age they reproduce themselves before they pass away.
Many of us have bulges of stubborn fat like muffin tops. Those unwanted bulges contain fat cells, which can be resistant to diet and exercise but not fat-freezing technology. This treatment uses controlled cooling to target and crystallize fat cells. Crystallized fat cells gradually die off, then the cells are naturally eliminated from your body. In the weeks and months following treatment, remaining fat cells condense, reducing the fat layer. This treatment lets you say goodbye to stubborn fat.
Who is this treatment for?
Our fat-freezing treatment is great for someone that is within their target weight range with stubborn peaks or bulges that are not responding to exercise and diet. It is very important to understand that this treatment is NOT a weight loss solution. We can address areas that include the upper and lower abdomen, flanks (love handles), the bra bulge, upper arms, as well as, inner and outer thighs.

What happens at your treatment?
You will have 360 degree photos taken, weight documented, and markings placed on the areas for treatment. A deep suction vacuum is placed on treatment area and cooling panels freeze the tissue for an average of 35-60 mins. On the outer thigh a panel is placed on the treatment area for 75 minutes. Once the time cycle is completed the area is manually massaged to help break down the fat cells at their weakest point.
Over the course of the next 2 weeks you can experience some swelling, redness, tingling sensations, aching, and possible bruising. Results of the treatment can be seen as soon as 4 weeks to 4 months post treatment.
